United Way & Wausau Child Care 2009 Fundraiser Events
Our first staff fundraiser was a contest to see which Administrative staff member could raise the most money by having the jar on her desk filled with the most donations from the teaching & kitchen staff. The winner was Miss Jen! And her prize was.....to kiss a toad!
On 9/19, we proudly rode our float in the United Way Parade. Everyone had a great time!
We held a Rummage Sale at our Franklin Center on Saturday, 9/26. It was a HUGE success!! We raised $553.52 for the United Way. The items that weren't sold were donated to Goodwill. A big thank you to everyone who donated items, everyone who helped run the sale and everyone who shopped.
Our "Penny War" is over! From 9/28 through 10/30, everyone dropped their extra change into a container for their child's classroom. The winner of the "War" gets to have a pajama party/movie day! Remember, all proceeds go to the United Way of Marathon County.

In our traditional WCC Staff Spirit, we held our annual potluck lunch on Friday, 10/30. Staff brought a dish to pass, made a donation and ate to their heart's content! We raised $66 for the United Way!
Our School-Age Program staff took part in a B.I.N.G.O contest from 10/5 through 10/16. They purchased their first BINGO card for a $5 donation and additional cards for $2. The winners were Miss Monica who won a Kohl's gift card, Miss Amanda who won a gift certificate from Bath & Body Works, Miss Samantha who won a tanning package from The Tanning Studio/Solstice Spa and Miss Taneal who won an oil change from Brickners. Congratulations to everyone!
