Miss Katie grew up in the Stratford area and currently lives in the Wausau area with her four-year-old daughter, Ahlexis, and the family dog, Sampson. Katie is involved in the Wausau 4K PTO and the HEAL coalition of MarathonCounty. She enjoys snowmobiling, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends. Katie attended UW-Stevens Point with a minor in Nutrition and major in Family Life Education. She also received her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in October 2008.
Katie has worked in the nutrition field at Norwood Health Care in Marshfield, the CPS Café in Stevens Point, Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston and Wausau Child Care. Katie works with DPI and the CACFP guidelines to ensure proper nutrition for the children attending Wausau Child Care. She also works with health care providers for children with special dietary needs. Katie is certified in the following; Food Manager, CPR, First Aid, Serving Safe Food in Child Care, Creating an Active & Healthy Environment, Building a Professional Team and Nutrition for School-Age Athletes.
