We were drawn to Wausau Child Care for the convenience of having aftercare services right at the school my kids attend, but what we love most is the staff and the fun environment they provide. Every time I pick the kids up, they beg to stay a little longer! The Summer Adventure Camp is fantastic, with healthy meals and snacks, projects and activities, and daily trips to parks, libraries, swimming pools, and more. The kids have a great time and play hard, and they get to meet kids from other elementary schools. Everything with WCC has been well-organized and communication is excellent. Our whole family is so happy to have found such a great fit for our childcare needs!

Our children have attended Wausau Child Care – Kronenwetter since February 2022, and in that time WCC has truly become like family to us. They give our children so much more than just care — they provide learning, encouragement, nurturing, and love every single day. As parents, there is nothing more comforting than knowing our children are in such a safe, caring, and joyful environment. Both of our children are genuinely excited to go to WCC each day, and that means the world to us. From the special holiday celebrations to sprinkler days on Fridays in the summer, every detail shows how much the staff cares. Norman Family - Westside

The Norman family has been fortunate to have our children attend the WCC facility since 2019. All three of our children began their journeys from a young age. Our girls have both completed the wonderful 4k program and our son is enrolled this fall. The friendly staff have continually made our family feel welcomed and loved. We always felt that our children were safe in the hands of people that truly care and love what they do. The Pro-care app has been a great tool to receive daily updates, photos, and messages. We always felt connected to our children and enjoyed this experience. We would recommend this facility to anyone seeking the best possible care from a team that delivers on all your expectations. Wausau Child Care School Age Program was wonderful for my two girls. They had projects, caring/attentive teachers, age appropriate fun-filled activities, and scrumptious snacks. The staff truly care and respect the children. My girls enjoyed the program and LOVED summer camp. They made so many good and life-long friends. It was a pleasure and relief knowing the girls were well cared for.

We’ve had three kids go through Wausau Child Care’s before and after school program, and we’ve had a really positive experience. One of the things I’ve been most impressed with is the leadership. Taylor is fantastic- our kids love her. She’s proactive, she listens, she’s thoughtful and logical, and you can tell she genuinely wants to do what is best for the kids. She’s incredibly hands-on and will personally come to the school when needed. She has also always been honest and transparent with us, which has built a level of trust and rapport that I really value as a parent. On the rare occasion we’ve had a concern, she has handled it with care, taken it seriously, and made it a priority.
Our kids have loved the variety of activities and the balance between being active, having fun, and having some downtime after a long school day. We’ve also had some wonderful teachers along the way, and our most recent teacher was an absolute gem who did a phenomenal job with the kids.
After having three children in the program over the years, what stands out most is knowing they are with people who genuinely care about them. Having a program we trust and people who will listen, communicate, and show up when it matters gives us a peace of mind that is invaluable as parents.
